I open Hauptwerk in my DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), Cakewalk Music Creator, in order to apply reverbation to the sound and give it some ambience, otherwise the sound is very "dry."
The MIDI interface between Hauptwerk and Noteworthy is MIDI Yoke. In Noteworthy I changed the staff properties to use MIDI Yoke as the playback device so the information gets routed to the organ.
The MIDI channels on the VSTi must correspond to the same ones used on the individual staves in Noteworthy.
Here is the list of all the channels on the organ with their corresponding staves on Noteworthy.
Staff Name | |||
Swell I | 3 | Hauptwerk <-- In From | <-- Out to |
Swell II | 3 | Hauptwerk <-- In From | <-- Out to |
Great I | 2 | Hauptwerk <-- In From | <-- Out to |
Great II | 2 | Hauptwerk <-- In From | <-- Out to |
Pedal | 1 | Hauptwerk <-- In From | <-- Out to |
Swell Stops I | 10 | Hauptwerk <-- In From | <-- Out to |
Swell Stops II | 10 | Hauptwerk <-- In From | <-- Out to |
Great Stops I | 9 | Hauptwerk <-- In From | <-- Out to |
Great Stops II | 9 | Hauptwerk <-- In From | <-- Out to |
Pedal Stops I | 8 | Hauptwerk <-- In From | <-- Out to |
Pedal Stops II | 8 | Hauptwerk <-- In From | <-- Out to |
The stops on the organ are also controlled by different MIDI notes, but I will cover that in separate post.
Cool. How do you get the notes into Noteworthy?
